Holiday travels

At home again after a fantastic time travelling around Tasmania. We went there to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, so left the van behind and flew and hired a vehicle and drove around at our own pace and visiting places that appealed to us. Lots of walking to see the sights but all worth it when we reached the point of interest.
 Taken from Tahune Airwalk, Geeveston.

The lakes on Cradle mountain.

The magnificent Wineglass Bay.

The bridge in Richmond.

Some lovely timber carvings.

I had some help from Hayley and Cody to celebrate my birthday. They were very happy to see us when we got home from our holiday.

The quilting club is having a mystery quilt project. I thought it would be good to use some forgotten fabrics so was very happy to be able to select fabrics that were waiting for that moment when they would be put to good use. The mystery will be revealed on the 3rd sewing day.

  1. Ahh! Tasmania! Such a beautiful State full of history and wonderful places to visit. Looks like you had a wonderful time celebrating your 40th wedding anniversary. We are off to Tas for the fourth time, this time to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary in September. Taking our little 'Ada' and going exploring for nine weeks again. Congrats on the 40th and for your birthday too.
